About Us

Gary A. Johnson is the Managing Creative Editor of Gary Johnson Media.  He is a former government manager having served in the Intelligence  Community (IC) in a variety of positions and in The White House as an  Intelligence Analyst for three Assistants to the President for National  Security Affairs.

Gary launched his own training and consulting company in 1995.  He has designed and delivered customized leadership, DEI, and professional development programs for federal and corporate clients across industries including automotive, chemical, airline, pharmaceutical, financial services, and agriculture. He is a certified  Executive Coach and Conflict Resolution Specialist, counseling senior      executives on strategic planning and high-stakes decision-making.

Gary's community and innovation initiatives led to the acquisition of the first Science Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) bus for under-served Washington, DC neighborhoods, increasing access to science and technology resources through the "Be The Game" program and a partnership with George Mason University to mentor youth and deliver leadership development programs. Gary and his company are actively involved with the Hosts of Palm Coast Social Group, and the  African American Cultural Society & Museum, promoting cultural enrichment and civic engagement in Central Florida.

Gary is the Founder and Publisher of BlackMenInAmerica.com, one of the leading websites in the category of African American/Black websites and online communities. He is the Host and Executive Producer of two acclaimed podcast series: The Calculations Talk Show and The Thought Brothers.

In 2019, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Gary expanded his brand to launch MasterChef Gary’s Premium Organic Seasoning, combining his love for health and flavor.

He is the author of “25 Things That Really Matter In Life: A Quick and Comprehensive Guide to Making Your Life Better—Today!”and a contributing author of “The Black Father Perspective: What We Want America to Know” and “In Search of Fatherhood – Transcending Boundaries: International Conversations on Fatherhood.”

Gary is also a strategic consultant and advisor to the Justice for Black Farmers Group.
